As you may already know, Ithaca is home to Namgyal Monastery. I very strongly urge my students to take advantage of the opportunities at Namgyal. In particular, I urge my students to take classes in colloquial Tibetan taught by native speakers at Namgyal.

When Namgyal has a Geshe—a scholar who has completed the traditional Tibetan advanced program of study—in residence, I try to adjust my schedules so we all can benefit from traditional Dharma instruction.
